8th Grade Girl's Volleyball Wins the SPAL Tournament
The 8th Grade Girl’s Volleyball team won the SPAL volleyball tournament with a 3-0 win over St Andrews. It is the first volleyball Championship since 1999. In the first game, the Irish won 25-15 behind the solid serving of Sarah Wong, Lauren Bicknell and Gabi Tawil and strong front court play of Maddie Coomer, Sydney Sanders and Ireland Sheahan. The Irish won the second game 25-10 behind strong serving of Gabi Tawil, McKenzie Maxheimer and Sydney Sanders and strong all around play from Kelly Risch, Amanda Ganser and Maddie Coomer. In the third game, the Irish won 25-22 behind solid play of Sydney Taylor, Sarah Wong, Briana Hopkins, and Sydney Sanders
The Lady Irish finished with a record of 10-2.
