(SAVANNAH) March 5, 2010 - Blessed Sacrament School's fifth through eighth grades participated in Career Week March 1-5 with a variety of speakers from all walks of life.
Speakers included a GBI medical examiner, an air traffic controller, a judge, a U.S. Attorney, an industrial engineer, a campaign manager, an accountant, a financial planner, a banker, a museum curator, a graphic designer and author and a teacher and artist.
“Giving the students insight into an assortment of careers may spark an interest and set a child on a path of achievement," said BSS teacher Anna Kaluzne.
Blessed Sacrament School was founded in 1939 with two classrooms and three sisters of Mercy as the first faculty. Today there are two sections of each grade level from Pre-K through 8th grades with a current enrollment of approximately 425 students. The school offers a rigorous, faith-based academic program and maintains small class sizes.
